Mr. Ghanshyam Brahman, who is a teacher from Janan village of Kutch, a village nearby border area, su?ered various network issues in his village that made him think of an idea about how he can teach his students without the help of the internet. That is when he noticed the loud speakers which were placed around the village by the panchayat. He requested the sarpanch of the village to allow him to conduct classes through those speakers. Aher his request was approved, he started conducting classes with 6 other teachers of the village. Each teacher would take an hour lecture every day and their schedules were announced the previous day. Teachers would give homework and also reach door to door for clearing queries of students and collect their homework, and some students were even called to recite poems and stories in the mic in an e?ort to make the lessons interactive. They even helped local authorities to run an awareness campaign about COVID-19. Their e?orts were also kept into consideration by the MHRD ministry for potential expansion across geographies. Mr. Ghanshyam, along with the other teachers, started this campaign with their sole e?orts and are now accompanied by villagers and local organizations.

On the other hand, Mr. Dave also did a similar experiment but with a di?erent approach. He also wanted to reach out to his students but without actually going to their houses and without internet, which was then he thought of running an educational TV series with the help of local cable network called Shankheshwar Cable network. He now teaches around 20,000 students through cable TV and is joined by 350 teachers of his block. Every day, 2 hours lectures is delivered to students since past 2 months. The schedule of the lectures is shared with the students via WhatsApp groups of respective classes. The sessions were one way at the beginning but then teachers launched their assistance number in which teachers record query of students and solve it in the live TV program.

The third approach was presented by Chintan Patel of Kheda district in Gujarat. His prime concern was that the students of primary level who either have just started learning or have never went to school. He started a ‘home learning program’, under which he prepared ?ex posters with numbers and alphabets printed on it and pasted it either outside houses of students or nearby the places where they play. His posters developed curiosity in students and helped them study while playing. He used to change the posters every now and then according to the syllabus. His idea has now

been accepted and adopted by di?erent schools in his area. The last teacher to present his approach was Balaji Jadhav from Satara. He also had the ambition to make education available to

all his students and so he started this program named ‘story on phone’. He used stories to develop life skills like listening, speaking, and writing in students and even recorded their activities. For the recording of the stories, the students were given a tablet from their organization. Huge response from students led to the creation of a library of collection of stories from the students, by the students, and for the students. His e?orts have been acknowledged and appreciated not only in the country but worldwide.

The di?erent methods teachers use to provide knowledge to students were appreciated and applauded by both education enthusiasts Professor Anil Gupta and Devang Bhatt. The Honey Bee Network also announced a competition for students to spread their innovative solutions. Therefore, at the end of the discussion, Mr. Devang Bhatt promised to cover all stories of teachers in GTPL program and one live program on “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ignited Minds Children Creativity and Innovations Award 2020” and HBNCRIIA competition as well. The whole session was full of inspiration. The e?orts made by all the teachers never go wasted and the e?orts that our guests been putting towards the education sets a remarkable example for many teachers and students.
